How do I go about booking a charter?
Do contact us via email or phone to check for boat availability for your intended date. Your booking will be confirmed once the invoicing process has been completed.
We accept cash, cheque and bank transfer for payments.
Can I change the date of charter or cancel my reservations?
We will try out best to accommodate changes to bookings, subject to availability. Please note that any changes to dates should be requested more than 7 days before your original charter day. Changes to the charter made less than 7 days before charter will be subjected to a S$100 charge. If there is a no-show on the day of the charter, the charter will be deemed to have been fulfilled and no refunds will be provided.
Does the carrying capacity of the yachts include infants and toddlers ?
The carrying capacity of each vessel is mandated by the MPA (Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore) and must be strictly adhered to. Infants and toddlers count towards the carrying capacity.
I have a power-boating license. Can I charter a yacht without crew?
We do not offer bareboat charters at present.
Safety
There will be a mandatory safety briefing for guests prior to departure. In line with safety regulations, each boat is equipped with a VHF receiver for the skipper to communicate with other vessels in the vicinity.
The yacht’s captain is responsible for the security of the vessel and we seek your understanding and co-operation in complying with his instructions. The captain reserves the right to prevent from boarding any person who is unruly or causes nuisance or a danger to himself and other persons onboard. The captain reserves the right to cancel the charter with no refunds if the charterer and/or guests are deemed to act in an unruly and uncooperative behaviour which may endanger himself/herself, crew, guest or the vessel.
We also ask that a form of identification be brought along by all passengers, just in case the vessel is stopped and inspected by the Singapore Marine Patrol.
Although the water surface may appear calm, there may be strong currents beneath. While we have safety vests available for guests’ use during water activities, guests who decide to partake do so at their own risk.
What are the Food & Beverages options?
We work with different catering partners based on your dietary preferences and needs. Please enquire during your booking about external catering. During the time of COVID-19 Phase 2 Safe Reopening, catered meals will be individually-portioned for guests.
Am I allowed to pack my own food for my charter?
Yes, please feel free to pack your own food and drinks. (Drinking water is provided as part of your charter package.) We strongly discourage bringing onboard dishes that are soupy or gravy-heavy as this may spill more readily with the movement of the yacht. Cooking onboard is not permitted on standard charters, but do make use of our refrigerator and microwave. Please remember to pack along disposable cutlery, crockery and sievettes for your meals too. Should you require ice, we will be happy to arrange for ice to be made available onboard, at additional cost.
What are some things to bring along on the trip?
Our boats are equipped and stocked with amenities that are geared to making your time onboard a comfortable one, but you might want to bring along the following: sunblock, sunhat, camera chargers, etc.
When can I board the vessel ?
You and your guests will be able to board the yacht 30 minutes before your charter is slated to start. Upon arrival at Raffles Marina, simply contact our captain (whose number will be provided during booking confirmation), and a crew member will meet you and usher you to the yacht.
Please do note your charter will end at the designated time listed on the booking, even if you and your guests arrive late. Extensions made to the original charter timing will be billed accordingly.
What if it rains?
Charters will typically commence on rainy days. In situations where the captain deems that a charter will not proceed due to inclement weather conditions, the charter may be rescheduled to a mutually-agreed upon date, subject to availability.
If there are rain showers in the middle of a charter, our spacious indoor cabins offer you and your guests a comfortable retreat from the elements. However, if weather and sea conditions are deemed to be extremely unsafe by our captain, the vessel will return to the marina.
Is there Wifi onboard?
There is no wifi available onboard our vessels. While cruising, mobile reception can be spotty, depending on the position of the vessel.
Wheelchair access
We regret that there is no access for wheelchairs.
Can I still enjoy the trip if I am prone to motion sickness?
You may encounter choppy waters along some routes. A cruise along the Johor-Singapore Straits is recommended for guests new to seafaring trips. If you are prone to motion sickness and will like to minimize discomfort during the trip, please consult your doctor or a pharmacist beforehand for suitable medication (to be taken prior to the cruise). From experience, spending time up above deck and looking at the horizon tend to work wonders for our guests with motion sickness.
Is it all right to smoke on board?
Please note that smoking in the air-conditioned cabins and indoor lounge area is not allowed. There will be designated smoking areas on the vessels onboard, where you can dispose of cigarette butts safely and responsibly.
What shoes should I wear on a charter?
Please note that guests will be required to remove their footwear upon boarding the yachts.
